Marco Damghani

Marco Damghani, born in Hamburg in 1992, studied directing at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin and at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Sydney. In his work as a director and writer, he continuously deals with questions of the political, the explicit themes of (post)migrant society and the connection between the personal and the systemic. In 2020 he was a fellow of the Heidelberger Stückemarkt. In addition to his theater work, he also works as a moderator and is involved in the association Stabiler Rücken e. V. for the interests of BIPoC and Jewish people in the theater and film sector. In the radio play series König der Könige, he deals with the history of Persia. His plays Die Leiden des jungen Azzlack and Anouk & Adofa were awarded the FAUST theater prize and the Autor*innentheatertage, and his debut novel Die Insel Sertralin was published in March 2024. This season he is staging ENDGAME 24 at Studio Я.
